Research Intern – Saskatoon

This is a great opportunity to learn from some of our experienced market researchers!  You will have the opportunity to be involved in projects including both traditional and emerging research methodologies.  The primary function of this position is supporting our researchers in all facets of a market research project including note-taking at focus groups, designing surveys, and conducting data analysis.

This is a great opportunity to start growing your market research career!

You have a university degree, likely in business, communications, social science or psychology, with a strong emphasis on research. You have exposure to the principles of market research including both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. You are an analytic thinker, with exposure to statistics and analytical methodologies. You are known for your attention to detail, the ability to see the story in the numbers, and for superior communication and writing skills.  An expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint would be considered an asset.  This position is for 40 hours per week.  Some travel is required. Must have a drivers licence.

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Insightrix Research started in 2001 with a simple idea: use the internet to help solve our client’s research problems. Since then, the company has evolved to become the largest market research firm in the province, with clients across the country.

Insightrix is seeking a motivated and multitask-oriented individual who is flexible and works well in a team environment to fill the full-time permanent position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing, leading and supporting a variety of communications and marketing strategies for Insightrix.


  • Compose communications for internal and external audiences including both B2B and B2C.
  • Assist with marketing campaign development from concept to completion including the use of both traditional and digital channels.
  • Develop Insightrix promotional marketing materials.
  • Assist in the creation of and distribution of press releases.
  • Develop and support social media functions (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Actively ensure branding is consistent on all Insightrix products and material
  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of special events, meetings, and activities


  • Assist our Proposal Writer and Communication Specialists to develop winning proposals that differentiate us from our competition.
  • Support our Research Services team in the proofing and editing of research reports.
  • Proofread all communication materials and review and consult with appropriate staff.
  • Apply proposal content to design layouts using corporate templates, production, and project management;
  • Some opportunities for design development and/or working with the digital and research department as necessary;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline and at least two years’ experience in a marketing position
    • Or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills with particular emphasis on Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to learn about new tools, products, and technology.
  • Experience in content management systems an asset (WordPress or Drupal).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro an asset;
  • Knowledge of marketing software and applications an asset (for example, HubSpot, Hootsuite, Buffer, social media analytic platforms).
