The Director, Business Development contributes to the growth of the company by driving new business. The position is responsible for building and overseeing sales initiatives, establishing key strategic partnerships and building upon the company’s Canadian footprint. As Director, Business Development, you will be client facing and attend presentations to drive our presence in the Canadian market, pitching and closing C-level decision makers.
For this Business Development position, it is essential that you have had experience selling Market Research or similar services (e.g., Business Intelligence, Business Information, Market Intelligence, Insight, Reports, Data). With our office growing, you must thrive in a “start-up” environment and possess a real drive and hunger to make things happen. Ideally, you will have had 5+ years’ experience as a research professional and have a hunger for new business!
In this role, you will report directly to the President, and you will be responsible for leading the sales process for our market research business. Targeting the Canadian market, you will work to design and execute sales plans. You will conduct lead generation, write proposals, handle consultative selling, build relationships with current clients and prospects and conduct sales presentations.
Along with a competitive base salary, the successful applicant will also participate in a generous commission scheme.
