Insightrix has gone to the dogs

December 27th, 2008 (Saskatoon, SK).

Water cooler conversation at Insightrix has changed over the past few months. You now hear things like "Presley's breath reeks, someone should brush his teeth." "Did you see that pink sweater Presley is wearing today? He looks so cute in it!."

First they were pets. Then they were family members. Now they're colleagues. At Insightrix we are taking advantage of an increasingly common phenomenon; having a dog in the workplace.

Corrin Harper, the President at Insightrix is convinced that dogs in the office are a good idea. She points to workplace stress as one of the "most serious" issues affecting productivity: "Having a dog in a workplace leads to a much more stress-free environment."

Other benefits of having a dog in the workplace include:

  • Increased staff morale
  • Increased camaraderie among employees
  • Happier and less stressed employees result in enhanced job performance

The Chief Morale Officer (CMO) at Insightrix was recently profiled by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix and Regina LeaderPost.
